In a formal sense the Balanced Scorecard [or BSc as we like to say] has been around since the nineties – although some organisations were doing it before that and calling it Performance Management.

We are continually being told that these are difficult times; smaller budgets, less staff, and more demanding customers. Difficult times they may be, but there are things that can be done.
The most obvious one is to take a good hard look at your processes and see where your people are wasting their talents and times doing inappropriate things.
